Privacy Policy
This website, samonsharris.com, is operated under the Samons Harris name for two separately owned firms with offices in Melbourne and Miami, Florida (see How Samons Harris is organized below). This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions about this policy may be sent to inquiries@samonsharris.com.
Information you provide
If you contact us through the site or by email, we receive what you send: typically your name, firm, email address, telephone number, and a description of the matter. Because our work requires conflict checks, you may also send the names of parties and counsel. We use this information to respond to you, to run a conflict check, and, if an engagement follows, to open and perform it.
Information provided for a conflict check is held in confidence whether or not we are retained. It is used only to determine whether we can accept the matter and to maintain our conflict records, and it is not used for marketing.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site collects standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. The site is hosted on WordPress.com, whose systems collect this information in server logs and through cookies. We may also use website analytics, such as Google Analytics or the hosting platform’s statistics, to understand how the site is used. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you to us by name.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is set. Some features of the site may not function properly without cookies.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site, email, and forms, who are bound to protect it; with our professional advisers where necessary; and when required by law, subpoena, court order, or our professional obligations. If an engagement is opened, information is handled under the engagement letter and the professional standards that apply to our work.
Retention and security
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our professional record-keeping obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send confidential financial records or other sensitive documents through the site; once an engagement is opened, we will provide a secure method of transfer.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct, update, or delete the personal information you have sent us, subject to our record-keeping obligations, by writing to inquiries@samonsharris.com. You may unsubscribe from any email communications by using the link in the message or by contacting us.
Children and links
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. It may contain links to other websites, which have their own privacy practices; we are not responsible for them.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
How Samons Harris is organized
Two independently owned firms. Samons Harris is the shared name of two independently owned firms. Samons Harris Forensics LLC, a Florida limited liability company with its office at 1901 South Harbor City Boulevard, Suite 510, Melbourne, Florida 32901, provides forensic accounting, fraud investigation, and litigation support services. It is owned by Anthony D. Samons, CPA, P.A., a Florida professional association wholly owned by Anthony D. Samons, a Florida-licensed certified public accountant. Claudia Munoz, CPA, practices with that firm. Samons Harris Valuation is a registered fictitious name of Harris Valuation LLC, 1000 Brickell Avenue, Suite 715, PMB 5088, Miami, Florida 33131, the business valuation firm of William Harris, ASA, CFA. Samons Harris Valuation is not a CPA firm and does not provide accounting services.
Ownership. William Harris is not an owner, member, or employee of Samons Harris Forensics LLC, and Anthony D. Samons is not an owner of Harris Valuation LLC. The two firms are not partners, and neither has any ownership interest in the other.
The name. The Samons Harris name and logo are owned by Samons Harris LLC, a Florida limited liability company owned by Anthony D. Samons, CPA, P.A. and William Harris. Samons Harris LLC licenses the name to the two firms for marketing purposes. It performs no professional services, has no clients, and issues no engagement letters.
Engagements. Each engagement is with one firm, under that firm’s own engagement letter, and each firm carries its own professional liability insurance. Neither firm is responsible for the work of the other. When a matter requires both forensic accounting and business valuation, the client engages each firm separately.
Site Terms
General information only. The content of this website, including the articles in the Insights section, is general information about forensic accounting, business valuation, and economic damages. It is not legal, tax, financial, or accounting advice, and it should not be relied on as such. Every matter turns on its own facts and on the law of the jurisdiction.
No engagement by use of this site. Reading this site, submitting the contact form, or sending us an email does not create an engagement or any professional relationship with either firm. An engagement begins only when a written engagement letter with the firm concerned is signed. Until then, please do not send confidential documents, and understand that no professional privilege attaches to information sent through this site.
Two firms, one name. Forensic accounting and litigation support services are provided by Samons Harris Forensics LLC, led by Anthony D. Samons, CPA/CFF/PFS, CDFA, in Melbourne, Florida. Business valuation and economic damages services are provided by Samons Harris Valuation (Harris Valuation LLC), led by William Harris, ASA, CFA, in Miami, Florida. Governing law. These terms and any dispute relating to this site are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
